I just read an interesting article in the Times Online called "Taking the Private Jet to Copenhagen". Take a look at couple of the paragraphs and if you would like to look at the whole story go to Times Online and check it out. It's an interesting story, written by Johnathan Foreman, about the phoniness in so many of our "Green Advocates". For instance:
There was Sheryl Crow, who had called upon the public to refrain from using more than one square of toilet paper per visit (“except on those pesky occasions when two or three are required”) and who was leading a Stop Global Warming concert tour across America. It was revealed that while Crow travelled in a biodiesel tour bus, her 30-person entourage followed in a fleet of 13 gas-guzzling vehicles.
John Travolta notoriously encouraged the British public to do its bit to fight global warming — after flying into London on one of his five, yes, five private jets (one of which is a Boeing 707). In 2006 his piloting hobby produced an estimated 800 tons of carbon emissions, more than a hundred times the output of the average Briton, according to the Carbon Trust.
Oprah Winfrey, who preaches eco-virtue from her TV pulpit, travelled in a 13-seat Gulfstream IV private jet for years — the preferred model for celebrities and the super-rich. (She has replaced it with a faster Bombardier Global Express.) The public first became aware of her private-jet habit when her plane had to make a forced landing in California in 2005.
You go, girls!
While the C-5 was turning over its engines, a female crewman gave the G.I.s on board the usual information regarding seat belts, emergency exits, etc.
Finally, she said, 'Now sit back and enjoy your trip while your captain, Judith Campbell, and crew take you safely to Afghanistan '
An old MSgt. sitting in the eighth row thought to himself,
'Did I hear her right? Is the captain a woman? '
When the attendant came by he said 'Did I understand you right? Is the captain a woman?'
'Yes,'! said the attendant, 'In fact, this entire crew is female.'
'My God,' he said, 'I wish I had two double scotch and sodas. I don't know what to think
with only women up there in the cockpit.'
'That's another thing, Sergeant,' said the crew member,
'We No Longer Call It The Cockpit'
'It's The Box Office.'
Quote of the day:
'Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater. If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby. If you give her a house, she'll give you a home. If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal.. If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her. So, if you give her any crap, be ready to receive a ton of ,,,,.'
Allen. With regards to your question, what are the reasons for the basic failure of education today, there are several.
Recently I have put a few of my comments on my website detailing my thoughts on these matters as well as spending five hours last week with a senior editor from Time Magazine from New York. He asked me practically the same type of questions that you asked.
The number one and foremost reason is that the ivy tower elites, the educrates have taken the educational control away from the teacher and given it to those that he teaches, the students.
The second reason is the ridiculousness of our education college’s where they constantly teach that every child is an individual and then give every new teacher a stylus book and tell them to teach according to the calendar. You must teach such and such on such and such a day in such and such a way.
Third, we have taken the “privilege of failure” away from our students. In today’s educational soup everybody must pass. Nobody can fail. As you and I know some of the greatest life lessons that a person learns is through failure.
Allen, Keep the faith. I think we will prevail even though our nation is in a very precarious time.

Tina Brown on President Obama and his confusing words.
Tina Brown at The Daily Beast, Dec. 3:
It's a strange paradox for a great wordsmith, but whenever Obama makes an important policy speech these days he leaves everyone totally confused. His first health-care press conference back in July triggered a season of raucous political Rorschach and left his hopeful followers utterly baffled about what they were being asked to support.
Now White House envoys are being dispatched all over the globe to explain what the president really meant about the date when troops will or won't be pulled out of Afghanistan. . . .
Does Obama create confusion on purpose? Is this his "process" based on his confession that he's a screen onto which people project things? Is it a strategy so that whatever bill trickles out of Congress or however many soldiers linger in Afghanistan, he can claim that the outcome is what he meant it all along? . . .
Or is it that there is so much subtext to every part of this message that the simple heads of the electorate are just not pointy enough to comprehend it?
I have come to the conclusion that the real reason this gifted communicator has become so bad at communicating is that he doesn't really believe a word that he is saying. He couldn't convey that health-care reform would be somehow cost-free because he knows it won't be. And he can't adequately convey either the imperatives or the military strategy of the war in Afghanistan because he doesn't really believe in it either.

Over the years I have had many people on my site telling me that I did not know what I was talking about when I said that I was not very sure about "Global Warming". In fact, most of the people who have defended Global Warming were zealots, people of faith. Watch this video carefully and see one of the faithful as she is confronted with facts.
Well, I've had it with all the stores and catalogs and their dancing around avoiding the words "Merry Christmas". I don't even know if they call a Christmas tree a Christmas tree anymore!
Quite frankly, I'm tired of any minority dictating to the majority. When I was growing up majority rule was the regulation. Today it seems that we have everything tail backwards.
As far as I'm concerned it is Merry Christmas that should be on the cards and in the stores. I think 86% of Americans are Christians so this is a Christian holiday. I'll give you any other holiday you want and say Happy Hanukkah, Happy Ramadan, or even Happy Obama Day.
So if you are politically correct and you want to disagree with me bring it on because, I will just ignore you.
