Little Professor Book Store

January 25, 2005

Tom Demerly from bikesports, one of the best bike shops in Michigan, recently sent me his story about growing up in Dearborn, and the roll that the Little Professor book store played in his coming of age. Check this out and see if you don't feel the way I did when I read it.http://www.bikesportmichigan.com/editorials/0000073.shtml

Traffic Safety

February 1, 2005

Council president Jack O'Rilley tells me he is concerned about the number of drivers in our city blowing through red lights and stop signs, as well as double parking on busy streets.

Jack told me that getting tough by issuing tickets is one way to solve the problem. But the real problem is that our liberal judges keep letting "first offenders" off the hook.
Go get them Jack!

Follow the Money Trail

February 1, 2005

George Soros, billionaire liberal, big time backer of democrat John Kerry's failed bid for the presidency, now calls Kerry a failed candidate. This is after spending 25 million $$$ and stumping for Kerry all over the country. So much for George Soros judgment. Maybe he should just go back to Europe where he came from. Oh yes, and wouldn't it be interesting to find out why Soros opposed the Iraqi war? Could it be that he had big bucks invested in French and German Companies doing business with Saddam? Whenever you are in doubt about why any big money guy does anything, follow the money trail. FOLLOW THE MONEY TRAIL!

A Reader Writes

February 1, 2005

Hi Russ,

The gang running the American Association of School Administrators must be authentic nimrods. How can Dr. John Burl Artis get any award, let alone the2005 President's Technology award? How politically incestual!

And by the way, wasn't the money for all, the technology so called improvement, in the Dearborn Public Schools raised by none other than Dr. Jeremy Hughes predecessor of Dr. John Burl Artis?

Turn Me On, Dead Man

February 15, 2005

If you are old enough to remember the "Paul is dead" mystery of nearly 28 or 30 years ago, take a read of Andru J.Reeve new book on The Beatles and The "Paul is Dead" Hoax, entitled Turn Me On, Dead Man. Published by Authorhouse http://www.authorhouse.com
As I played a small part in this Hoax, you can take it from me that this is the most most definitive work on this subject. Plus, there are several funny pictures of me in my other life. Rock ON!

Moving On

February 15, 2005

Have you noticed how many Dearborn parents with school aged students are moving on and out of Dearborn? Most of these parents that I have spoken to, tell me it is because of political correctness gone amok in the Dearborn Public Schools, under the one and only Dr. John Burl Artis. By the way, he still lives in Grosse Pointe!

Ronald's Rip Off

February 18, 2005

The Mc Donalds restaurant on Telgraph and Hass in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, (I love their fish burgers) is now charging 50 cents to use YOUR credit card. Yet, as far as "Benny" at Mc Donalds customer service center in Oak Grove, Illinois, is concerned: It's ok to charge a fee to use your credit card!

Funny though, American Express national headquaters in New York city seems to disagree.Wanna bet who is gonna win this consumer rip off fight?Hey, a penny here and a penny there, and it all adds up.
