I agree..

April 17, 2004

General Tommy Franks... An American Hero.... recently said...

while repeatedly criticizing the liberal media and the ongoing investigation by of the 9/11 Sept. 11 commission.

"We do not need people to ask about yesterday. We need people to ask about the future,".

Wonder if any Democrats were listening ??

Think a gallon of gas is expensive?

April 17, 2004

This makes one think, and also puts things in perspective.
Diet Snapple 16 oz $1.29 ......... $10.32 pergallon
Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz $1.19 ..........$9.52 per gallon
Gatorade 20 oz $1.59 .... $10.17 per gallon
Ocean Spray 16 oz $1.25 ........ $10.00 per gallon
Brake Fluid 12 oz $3.15 ......... $33.60 per gallon
Vick's Nyquil 6 oz $8.35 ... $178.13 per gallon
Pepto Bismol 4 oz $3.85 ....... $123.20 pergallon
Whiteout 7 oz $1.39 ....... $25.42 per gallon
Scope 1.5 oz $099 ........$84.48 per gallon
And this is the REAL KICKER...
Evian water 9 oz $1.49..........$21.19 per gallon?!
$21.19 for WATER - and the buyers don't even know the source.

So, the next time you're at the pump, be glad your car doesn't run on water, Scope, or Whiteout, or God forbid Pepto Bismal or Nyquil.

Just a little humor to help ease the pain of your next trip to the pump...

Queen, Queen, Queen

Two of my computer experts from different websites have tried to email you, but all of our mail to you keeps bouncing back to us. They suggested that maybe you have 2 accounts on AOL and have changed something recently.

If you'd like to get to the bottom of this please send your phone number and I will call you.

Cheers,
Russ

What's in a name?

April 25, 2004

Well in Dearborn a few names stand out for service in our community. Lucille McCullough, state representative, John Dingell, national representative, Mike Adray, entrepreneur, and Mike Berry, benefactor.

Lucille was my neighbor, John Dingell my representative, Mike Adray, a friend, and Mike Berry, a special friend.

Mike is a man I grew up with. We attended Fordson High School together. Later the lawyer Mike Berry helped me land a teaching job here in Dearborn, Michigan. Mike Berry has been a public servant and is a man who has contributed over $1,000,000 to the educational establishments here in Dearborn. Yes, $1,000,000. But when some of us said "Let us make your contributions public," Mike said "No. Just use the money to help kids benefit from an education like I have."

What's in a name?-- The name Mike Berry should be the name of the new Dearborn Public Schools Career Center. Put a name to the benefits of public education and that name would be Mike Berry.

TV Sweeps

May 2, 2004

Watching the liberal TV networks like CBS and ABC fall over one another trying to show the savagery of war,CBS through their Iraqi torture pictures, ABC throughtheir pictures "Honoring" American heroes who have fallen in the line of duty.

All I can think of are the words "TV rating time,"i.e. the higher the number of viewers the more theycan charge for advertising and how the horror of warplays into the Democratic Party's "Blame Bush forEverything" campaign. Shame on the networks. Shame onthe media. Shame.

School Board

May 11, 2004

Interesting news. Retired teacher and administrator Darrell Donaldson has just announced that he's running for a Dearborn School Board seat in the upcoming election. Darrell is a well respected person in our community and realizes that all is not well in the Dearborn Public Schools.

Media Frenzy

May 12, 2004

Watching the liberal media feeding frenzy on the abuse of Iraqi prisoners makes me sick. However, what makes me sicker is watching a video of Arabic terrorists slicing the throat of an innocent person and then showing off the severed head.

Liberal Media

May 12, 2004

Margaret Thatcher, the ex-Prime Minister of England, once said, (if I may paraphrase) that the only way to handle terrorism in a democracy is to cut off the oxygen of liberal publicity that they feed on. Take heed, CBS ABC NBC, Washington Post, LA Times, New York Times and the Detroit Free Press.

Hold Harmless or Hold Up?

May 18, 2004

The Dearborn Public Schools are gearing up for a new millage campaign. Hold Harmless millage it's called. Translation: They are not asking for a new or an increase in your taxes, just "keep 'em the same." Well pardon me, but many people I know are very upset with the Dearborn Public Schools and its administration. Plus, changing boundary lines and sending some principals to Harvard for a summer workshop while they're laying off teachers sure does not bode well for the Hold Harmless. What do you think?
